What are the required specifications for album covers?
Your cover art needs to be:
TIFF, PNG, or JPG format using lossless encoding
The highest resolution available
At least 640px wide and tall
1:1 aspect ratio
Encoded with an sRGB color space, 24bits per pixel, with color profiles applied directly
Don't upscale images. We also don't support embedded color profiles and orientation metadata.
What format should my audio be in?
What happens when my file is received?
Your file/s is/are delivered to digital streaming platforms (DSPs)
When DSPs get your audio files, they will:
Check they aren't corrupt and the format container is known
Transcode the file into different delivery formats for our audio quality options:
Ogg/Vorbis (96, 160, 320 kbps)
AAC (128, 256 kbps)
HE-AACv2 (24kbps)
Calculate the loudness of the whole release and individual tracks using the ITU 1770 standard
They also encrypt the audio files before they're delivered to the platform.
Make sure your files meet the requirements before submitting to prevent any delays in distribution.
What happens if my audio submission receives a Copyright Claim?

What should I do if my song is under the wrong artists page?
At times streaming services group artists together who have the same (or similar) names, or create a new artist page instead of using your existing page.

What can I do to map my music to the correct account?
We have set up tools to try and get the artist page mapping correct on the first try, however, it is not something we have direct control over as it is handled by streaming platforms.
We have, however, added a tool on our audio submission process where you can add the correct links to the artists profile.

Can I merge my OAC with my VEVO channel?
Yes. We are Youtube Partner managers and VEVO content partners also. To have your channel merge request handled by us you must be a current MarvMent client with content distributed through our service.
As your YouTube Partner Manager Send us the link to your VEVO channel and the link to your OAC for us to escalate this request to YouTube for you.
Can I move a video from my VEVO channel to my YouTube channel without losing my numbers?
Can I move a video from YouTube to my VEVO channel?
If I move my video on my Youtube channel to a VEVO channel will I lose my views, likes and comments?
No. The views and comments are preserved, and the url does not change while the video moves channels.
Please note that sometimes comments will move over a few days, or weeks after a video is moved. In the case that comments disappear, comments will take a max of two weeks to move/reappear after the chown. The comments will return. The comments cannot be rushed back, this is a limitation at the YouTube level.
Will my video appear as a newly published video when it is moved from my OAC to my VEVO channel?
Will a video still appear on the OAC homepage even though it is moved to my VEVO channel?
When I merge my OAC with my VEVO channel will I be able to edit my VEVO videos on my own.

No. There is no subscriber threshold on VEVO, your video becomes eligible for monetization as soon as it goes live.
Should I still upload my videos to a VEVO channel?
Yes.
A notable benefit is that VEVO does not have a minimum requirement for subscribers so your content will start monetizing right away. This way you will be able to maximize your royalties potential with a VEVO presence.
How can I get a playlist with my VEVO videos on my VEVO channel?

Video Publishing

Which platforms will my video be published on?
What are the steps to upload and publish a video through MarvMent?
Log in to the MarvMent website. This will take you to your videos dashboard.
Click on the "Add Video' button. This starts the video publication wizard.
Step 1: Enter the required video metadata (Artist, Title, ISRC code.)
If you do not wish to enter additional information as in Step 2, submit the data by clicking on the Submit button. If you wish to enter optional data, click the Next button (see Step 2). After submitting your data you will be taken to the file upload tab(See Step 3)
Step 2: Enter optional video metadata (Producer, Director ...)
You do not need to complete this step unless you wish to enter optional data.
Step 3: Upload your video file: (.mov | .wmv | .avi | .mpg | .mpeg | .mp4 | .png | .flv)
After successfully uploading your video a notification will be sent to the MarvMent support team and we'll start processing your video right away. Please bear in mind that every video goes through a QA process at MarvMent. We need to verify that your video content does not breach any terms in your contract. If everything is ok, your video will be published in the next 48 hours and we'll send you a notification email.

Can I generate a short link for my fans to find my song on the various streaming platforms?
Yes. We provide a free service to our clients where you can generate a short link with up to 10 streaming platforms attached. Some stores will be auto loaded, the others you can add links to the audio from the streaming platform. (please see screenshot)
To create your shortlink
From the left side of your MarvMent login dashboard select 'Distribution' then 'Audio'. Here you will select the 'UPC Code' for your audio release.
After copying your desired UPC Code, select 'Marketing' from the left hand side of your browser. Then select 'Links'. Select 'Create Link' then 'Release'. Paste your 'UPC code' in the highlighted section.
Add the requested info. Upload your cover art.
You can also personalize your shortlink by adding the title of your song in the 'Short Code' section. Do not include any spaces.
Select create.
